Alabama announces surprise NYE free virtual gig
Tuesday, December 29, 2020 – Alabama announced today it would play a surprise New Year s Eve concert this Thursday.
Alabama founding members Jeff Cook, Teddy Gentry and Randy Owen said in a joint statement, What better way to start the New Year than to have a free concert on New Year s Eve for our fans around the world? We are pleased that Marcus Lemonis and our friends at Camping World are presenting this special performance from Nashville, Tenn. We cannot wait to get back on tour soon and want to see you in-person. Sit back, relax, crank up the sound and ROLL ON into 2021. Wishing you a very happy New Year.
Country rock legends Alabama are ready to say goodbye to 2020 with a free New Year s Eve livestream concert. The virtual event will be available to viewers thanks to recreational vehicle outpost Camping World; it s part of the motorhome outfitter s Ultimate RV Show national tour series.
The veteran Southern rockers are just the latest country group to host a virtual concert in place of live, in-person appearances. This past year has seen plenty of such performances since the coronavirus pandemic brought most live music and touring to a standstill beginning in March.
In a joint statement, founding Alabama members Randy Owen, Teddy Gentry and Jeff Cook get fans psyched for the gig while giving a shoutout to Camping World and its CEO, Marcus Lemonis. (Lemonis recently donated $500,000 to help businesses impacted by this month s Nashville bombing.)

Today, ALABAMA revealed that it is again teaming with Camping World® for a virtual concert, set to stream live this Thursday, December 31 at 8 p.m. / CT. The multi-platinum selling Country Music Hall of Fame band will help ring in 2021 with a special performance featuring the ALABAMA tunes fans have adored for more than five decades.

Hosted by Ambassador of Country Music Shawn Parr and streaming from Sept. 15 to Nov. 24, the series put on by the network of recreational vehicle retailers racked up 7.4 million views across multiple platforms, with major artists including Zac Brown Band, Chris Young, Alabama, Sugarland, Lady A, Martina McBride, Ricky Skaggs and Steven Curtis Chapman, Brett Young, Little Big Town and Amy Grant and Vince Gill, the final performance of which took place Nov. 24 and racked up 1.14 million views. The lineup rivals many amphitheater or fair lineups, giving a much-needed platform to artists who are almost alway
