Hello! With all the recent snow, what to do but go to the kitchen and cook and bake. That is what I did. I needed new recipes, so, I called on my friends to share what they were cooking. This is what I got.
In the kitchen with Sharon this week is Lesley Lightner, is a good friend and cook, plus she lets us know when we spell something wrong. Thank you, Lesley. I made sure to spell your name correctly or you would be calling me. Kidding all aside, we love you Lesley, and we know you are looking out for all of us at The Times-Gazette.

Hello! In the Kitchen with Sharon this week is Pam Bailey with her cream cycle cake. This looks so delicious. I am going to make this.
Pam is not only a great cook and baker, but she loves to remodel her home and do landscaping. She is a great painter. I don’t think there is anything she can’t do. When Pam is not working on some projects, she is having fun with her girls and grandchildren. Pam is one happy lady. I love being around her as she is so sweet and is always happy.

In the kitchen with Sharon this week is my friend Angie Shriver, with her famous Texas sheet cake. I need a piece of this cake.
Angie is a great cook and baker plus she makes my Christmas candy, and she even delivers it. She said she found this recipe in a cookbook put out by the Rocky Fork Amvets. It is a great recipe. Thank you, Angie, for this wonderful recipe. I am going to make this.
Please send your favorite recipes to shughes@timesgazette.com or call 937-393-3456. I am looking forward to hearing from you. Have a great weekend!

When the UK was first plunged into lockdown in March 2020, many who weren’t key workers or overnight home school teachers were left with an unprecedented amount of free time on their hands – and just when they really needed the distractions of everyday life the most.
