The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices approved the vaccine for use in 12- to 15-year-olds Wednesday, along with the Illinois Department of Public Health. Now, health departments are preparing to add in the new age category, though only the Pfizer vaccine can be used for those under the age of 18.
