Japanese power-metallers LOVEBITES prove that even COVID can’t slow them down with delirious new EP…
Words: Sam Law
LOVEBITES really don’t fuck around. Almost four years to the day since they burst onto the international scene with 2017’s The Lovebites EP, they’re back with the five furious tracks of Glory, Glory, To the World, having chalked-up another extended-play and three full albums in-between. After seeing their Electric Pentagram world tour cut short by the COVID pandemic, the quintet eschewed the idea of a year off in favour of working on the theme song for Vlad Love – the brand new slapstick anime about a group of five high school girls, one of whom is a vampire. As you do.

Lmao, Oshii my boy, thank you for speaking the truth. Original TV show aside, the rebuild of Evangelion definitely feels like style over substance to me.
Based Oshii.
The comparison I d make is that in the 3rd Rebuild, Fuyutsuki sits down with Shinji to play a board game. The old man admits he doesn t really know how to communicate with others, so doing this allows him to communicate with others. Bazed in Anno s scraggly youth days, Anno says he animates as a means of communicating with people. Something he was not good at. Miyazaki cast Anno as the lead in Wind Rises for the same reasons. Someone that gets lost in their work.
What is this?
Mitsugu Bamba is a high school girl who finds meaning in donating blood. She frequently visits a blood bank to donate blood, despite being harshly treated by the nurse. One day, she encounters a beautiful girl who looks like she s from overseas at the blood bank. The pale girl looks like she s about to faint any minute, but then, she starts destroying the blood bank. The girl loses consciousness and Mitsugu takes her home.
Vladlove is an original work and it s first episode had a special version that debuted on the anime s official
YouTube channel on December 17, 2020. The anime will formally debut on February 14, 2021.
