CUSTER, Wash. An ordinance to block off part of 4th Street in Custer passed the Whatcom County Council Tuesday night.
The vote was unanimous for the COVID-19 relief measure introduced at the February 9th meeting by Council members Barry Buchanon and Ben Elenbaas.
Whatcom County Public works will be directed to close a section of 4th Street so Tony’s Tavern can set up an outdoor seating structure.
The street closure will continue until the establishment is allowed to re-open to 100% capacity under state guidelines.
