Dr. James âJimâ Newell Boydston, DVM
TAVARES, Fla. Dr. James “Jim” Newell Boydston, DVM, 86, of Tavares, Fla., formerly of Escanaba, Michigan (1977-2019) and Wauseon, Ohio, passed away on February 21, 2021, due to injuries sustained in a fall. He was surrounded by his loving family as he passed peacefully into his Heavenly home.
Jim was the first child of James L. And Wyona Boydston, born in Adrian, Mich. on August 10, 1934. After his father graduated from veterinary school at Michigan Agricultural College (now MSU), the family eventually settled in Wauseon, Ohio. Jim met the love of his life, Lois, and they were married on September 11, 1955. The new couple moved to MSU where Jim completed his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree and their first child Linda Sue was born.

WAUSEON â Kellen Rigg added another Bryan swimming record to his resume.
The junior broke the 200-yard IM record â which was previously held by Brad McDonagh (2:07.50) in 2008 â with a 2:06.78 against Wauseon in a nonleague meet on Tuesday at Wauseon High School.
Rigg also has the record in the 100-yard butterfly (52.95), 200-yard freestyle (1:43.16) and 500-yard freestyle (4:43.37).
Riggâs performance also helped lead the Golden Bearsâ boys to a 91-61 win over Wauseon by placing first in the 100-yard freestyle (51.02), the 400-yard freestyle relay (3:36.65) with Ara Alyanakian, Collin Barrow-Whetro and Jackson Miller and the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:37.87) with the same three.
The girls fell to the Indians 107-77.
