Martin Kaymer sets sights on Ryder Cup despite PGA Tour confession

Former world number one Martin Kaymer has not given up hope of making this year’s Ryder Cup team, despite conceding his game is currently not good enough for the PGA Tour.
Kaymer famously secured the point which ensured Europe would retain the Ryder Cup following the ‘Miracle at Medinah’ in 2012 and won his second major title at the US Open in 2014.
The 36-year-old has not tasted victory since his wire-to-wire success at Pinehurst, blowing a 10-shot lead in the final round in Abu Dhabi in January 2015 and almost dropping out of the world’s top 200 before enjoying an improvement in form with six top-10 finishes last season.
Golfer Shubhankar set to resume European Tour campaign

Vienna, Apr 14 (IANS): Indian golfer Shubhankar Sharma will resume his European Tour campaign at the Austrian Golf Open in Atzenbrugg near Vienna on Thursday after a two-week break back home in Himachal Pradesh.
Though the two-time European Tour winner is not at his best in recent months, he has shown some spark early in the year with three top-30 finishes from his six starts on the European Tour, including a best finish of tied 22nd at the Dubai Desert Classic. It s been an average year for me so far but I m looking at the positives. I m playing much better than the results suggest. I m in a good frame of mind and in good physical condition at the moment, said the 24-year-old Sharma, the 2018 Asian Tour Order of Merit champion.
