The Clare County Sheriff’s Department says a Farwell man has been charged with breaking and entering in Clare County.
Deputies say around one a.m. Monday, the man had broken into the Dairy Queen in Hayes Township and attempted to break into the safe and cash register. He was identified and arrested the same day.
On Tuesday, Robert Wade, 28, was charged by the Clare County Prosecutor’s Office with breaking and entering a building with intent, larceny in a building, and attempted safe breaking.
He remains lodged in the Clare County Jail.
A portion of Interstate 79 in northern Crawford County will be milled and paved this summer.
Work will be done on northbound and southbound lanes of the interstate from milepost 154 in Hayfield Township to milepost 158 in Cussewago Township.
Drivers are advised to expect lane closings and delays, especially during peak traffic times before and after typical work hours, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.
Work is expected to be completed in August.
Construction will then continue from milepost 158 to 160 in Cussewago Township through October.
The project will continue in 2022 with paving between mileposts 160 in Hayfield Township and165 in Washington Township in southern Erie County.

Michigan State Police say a Gaylord man threatened to shoot a woman earlier this month.
Troopers say Justin Kohler pointed a pistol at a woman and threatened to shoot her inside his home in Hayes Township on Jan. 1.
State police say Kohler also tried to attack the woman with a stun gun.
When troopers arrived at the home, the woman was driving away, but troopers stopped her to assist her.
At the house, police found a .40 caliber pistol and stun gun.
Kohler is charged with assault with a dangerous weapon, having a stun gun and having a gun while under the influence.

HAYES TOWNSHIP, MI – A man is facing several charges after allegedly threatening his wife with a pistol and a stun gun earlier this month.
Justin Robert Kohler, 33, of Gaylord, allegedly attempted to assault his wife with a stun gun and later pointed a pistol at her and threatened her shoot before she fled the Hayes Township home with four children, according to a news release from the Michigan State Police Gaylord Post.
Troopers from the MSP Gaylord Post responded just after midnight on Jan. 1 to a report of a man threatening a woman with a gun, police said.
