Experienced jockey Glyn Schofield will visit a specialist next week with hopes of returning to the saddle as soon as possible.
The multiple Group 1 winning rider hasn’t been seen in a race riding capacity since last be legged up at Randwick on December 26.
“I aggravated some old nerve damage which was affecting my right arm,” Schofield said.
“I’d been carrying the problem for some time and masking it as sportsmen tend to do but it got to the stage where battling through it was doing me more harm than good, and it became time I got things assessed.
