Dead body pulled from River Mersey shrouded in mystery for more than 40 years

More than 40 years have passed since a dead body was pulled out of the River Mersey in Widnes but their identity remains a mystery to this day.
Research by the ECHO data unit revealed the corpse is the oldest of five cases of unidentified bodies in Cheshire.
The dead man was 6ft 2ins tall, white European, of medium build and aged between 25 and 35 years old.
