Jesus Center move will nearly triple its occupancy

CHICO, Calif. - The Jesus Center in Chico is moving to the old Work Training Center near the Silver Dollar Fairgrounds from its long-time spot on Park Avenue.
This new location will provide shelter for more people who are homeless.
The Jesus Center is moving its primary services to a new location on Fair Street in Chico.

CHICO, Calif. - A time capsule was found at the new site of the new Jesus Center in Chico by construction workers.
A Slater & Son crew was working at the old Work Training Center on Fair Street, tearing it down to make way for a new Jesus Center Renewal Center. While they were tearing down a wall they found the time capsule.
Inside were various items, including an old newspaper. Tom Johnson s name and phone number were also inside of the time capsule. Johnson used to be a staff member at the Work Training Center.
