The bus appeared to have a minor dint and scuff mark on its right side, but neither it nor the tram received any serious damage. A Bentley Transport spokesman said the bus was not carrying any passengers and was out of service at the time of the crash. He had not yet spoken to the driver, but said the bus appeared to have “just a scratch on its paint”. Christchurch s popular trams have been involved in several other incidents over the years.
