Toobs the wonder dog has swum herself into the record books this Christmas Eve as the first ever dog to swim The English Channel! Nearly 200 people watched on Facebook live as she swam the very last quarter mile of her journey into Falmouth landing on Prince of Wales Pier to greeted by a welcoming party including Falmouth mayor Steve Eva who presented a cheque from the money raised to The Last Chance Hotel and PupCakes dog charities After 46 days of swimming in all weathers, sea states, wind, rain, cold etc she landed on the pier at around 2pm this afternoon after swimming the distance of 17.36nm (20 miles) across The English Channel to raise money and awareness for the difficult-to-home rescue dog charities.
