Greta Van Fleet are a preposterous band because of course they are. They have to be they are modelled on some of the most preposterous bands in the rock canon, and to commit to such a high-wire act of mimicry on this scale is preposterous in itself. The Michigan group’s second LP ‘The Battle at Garden s Gate’ is a serious, beautifully presented record that wears that sense of ridiculousness with a flourish, suggesting rather forcibly that their interests do not include worrying over press clippings.
Sunday marked the begging of the end for the
2021 PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker as the six Main Events, with combined guarantees worth more than $15 million, got underway. At the same time as the Main Events were playing out, three more events played down to a winner including a pair of High buy-in events that paid out healthy six-figure scores.
Of the six multi-day Main Events (three NLHE, three PLO at each of the tiered buy-ins) five have already surpassed the posted guarantee, and registration for new (and previously busted) players is available right up until the start of Day 2.

Young Thug s star-studded project Slime Language 2 has arrived at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. Hailing from Young Stoner Life Records, the set earns 113,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. in the week ending April 22, according to MRC Data.
Of the number, most of them are from streaming activity. SEA units comprise 106,000 which equals to 142.68 million on-demand streams of the album s tracks. Meanwhile, 6000 of them are album sales with 1,000 being in the form of TEA units.

On anniversary of Korean War battle, Polk honors legacy of Gen. Van Fleet

LAKE ALFRED, Fla. - Polk County’s favorite son, and the troops he led during the Korean War, were honored in Lake Alfred on Friday.
General James Van Fleet was in charge of American and other United Nations forces during the Battle of Kapyong, which started 70 years ago on April 23, 1951. U.N. forces fought successfully to keep communist forces of North Korea from invading and seizing Seoul in South Korea.
Van Fleet was in charge of the defending the city. During the war, he was a hero, said Hoojung Jones Kennedy, the organizer of the event. He left his heart in Korea.
