Two people were shot and killed at an apartment complex near Newark on Saturday night. The shooting happened around 9:15 p.m. at Hunters Crossing Apartments on Capitol Trail, east of the city, according to Grigori Lopez-Garcia, a spokesman for the New Castle County Police Department. Police found a 23-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman suffering from gunshot wounds. Officers and emergency medical personnel attempted to revive them, but both victims died. Police did not release any other details about the shooting, nor did they provide any suspect information. “This is an active and ongoing investigation,” Lopez-Garcia said.
