Man admits to alleged theft of truck containing $77K of medication

SALT LAKE CITY A man admitted to allegedly stealing an unmarked yellow box truck containing $77,000 worth of prescription medication on Saturday, said police. University of Utah police were searching for Henry Ricky Sepulveda on Saturday in connection with the theft of the box truck which contained 11 totes of medications from the Huntsman Mental Health Institute parking lot. Police said that the box van was stolen at around 9 a.m. According to a press release Monday, Sepulveda turned himself into police at about 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Sepulveda admitted to taking the truck when questioned by police, said the release. Police said that the box truck was later located by Salt Lake City police and another person was arrested in connection with the theft. A small amount of medication was recovered, according to the release.

U of U Police looking for stolen truck full of prescription meds University of Utah Police and last updated 2021-05-22 19:14:21-04 SALT LAKE CITY â University of Utah Police say a man stole a box truck Saturday morning that contained a large amount of medication. Henry Ricky Sepulveda, 31, is suspected of stealing the truck from the Huntsman Mental Health Institute parking lot around 9 a.m. Inside the truck were 11 totes of prescription medication totaling $77,000 in value. Police are asking the public to keep an eye out for the truck and Sepulveda (pictured above). The vehicle is a yellow 2017 GM Savana box truck with Utah license plate number G09 7EZ.

When JayBee played basketball for the University of New Mexico, he was not a fan of Utah or, more precisely, the Utes. After he left the sport as a career, he wanted to find something else he was passionate about. When he spoke at a treatment center, he found that passion: mental health and helping those in need. In 2017, he went to work for University Neuropsychiatric Institute (UNI), now known as Huntsman Mental Health Institute, as a psychiatric technician providing care to those with mental health and substance abuse needs. After working with youth at UNI, he then joined the receiving center, which opened in 2012. It is an integral part of Salt Lake Valley s response to mental health crises. We are serving the homeless and individuals in crisis, JayBee says.
