Bumper car catches fire in Lima bowling alley
LIMA It may be the hottest new attraction in town, maybe a bit too hot. Recently, Westgate Entertainment Center installed bumper cars at the bowling center.
At 9:35 a.m. Sunday, one of the bumper cars caught fire when an employee tried to charge the battery, causing the building to fill with smoke.
The fire was out before American Township firefighters arrived on the scene.
Firefighters had to use fans to clear the smoke from the building.
The establishment reopened a short time later after cleaning up the mess. No dollar estimate was available on the damage to the bumper car.
