Postal Service says mail delivery disruptions in Kennebunkport have been fixed
Short-term staffing issues were to blame for recent delivery delays, but these have been rectified and mail delivery should now be on time, the USPS says.

Staffing shortages that led to mail delivery delays in Kennebunkport have been addressed and residents and businesses should now be getting deliveries in a timely manner, a U.S. Postal Service spokesperson in Boston said Monday.
The USPS statement follows a selectman’s complaint a day earlier that he had not received any mail for a week, and that residents had reported delays in deliveries of prescriptions, Social Security checks, gifts and other time sensitive materials.

In early May, just a few weeks from now, we will elect town leaders who have the authority and responsibility to manage important aspects of our local government. And the following week, at our annual Town Meeting, we will vote on the town and school budget, and other issues that will determine our property taxes for the next year.
