The end is near, Screaming Firehawks, and with just one
Expanse episode to go after this week’s blazing “Winnipesaukee,” the stage is set for a finale full of questions that need answering, conflicts we hope to see resolved, and a reunion we’ve been waiting almost all of season five to see. But first: PUNCH IT!

“Winnipesaukee” opens with Marco (Keon Alexander) getting an update on a recent Free Navy battle, which resulted in some Martian and UN ships destroyed, but also multiple Belter deaths. “The Free Navy mourns our allies who died in this valiant effort,” he says diplomatically, before adding with a grin, “But it was worth the price.” His smarm dissipates when he gets a message from Karal (Olunike Adeliyi), his eyes and ears in Drummer’s fleet, and she lets him know that something odd happened with the fake distress call he set to broadcast from the bomb-rigged
After last week's devastating farewell, The Expanse's latest episode, "Hard Vacuum," finds time to see what all the other characters are up to on Earth, Luna, and various points around the Belt. And as you might guess, nobody is having an easy time of it.

The Expanse is almost over, with just two episodes left after today’s episode 8 “Hard Vacuum.” So far, the Roci crew has been split up, with Holden (Steven Strait) and Alex (Cas Anvar) taking over plot duty while Amos (Wes Chatham) and Naomi (Dominique Tipper) going on more personal journeys and reconnecting with their past. It’s been a great opportunity to explore a bit deeper into those two characters, and the season has delivered on both of them.
For Naomi, episodes seven and eight include some incredible moments, both emotionally and physically, like her talk with Filip (Jasai Chase Owens) and the space jump to freedom. Over the phone, The Young Folks spoke with Dominique Tipper about Naomi’s solo journey this season, and her MacGyver mindset, adrift in space.
Even when Amos is on-mission, he can still find a bit of time for a drink. The fifth and penultimate season of The Expanse is still rolling out on Prime Video, and we have an exclusive clip from the next new episode “Hard Vacuum.” SYFY WIRE’s exclusive clip from the eighth episode focuses in on Amos (Wes Chatham), Erich (Jacob Mundell) and Clarissa “Peaches” Mao (Nadine Nicole) as they get ready

The mystery drama, which is set in a colonized solar system, began with the governments of Earth, Mars and the Asteroid Belt being locked in long-standing conflict. The crew of the illegally salvaged warship, the Rocinante, then stumbled on a vast conspiracy and a mysterious alien technology that’s threatens to upend the balance of power and the fate of human
