50-year-old man charged in Mud River homicide
A 50-year-old man from Whitesand First Nation has been charged in connection with a homicide that took place Friday in Mud River, Ont., OPP said.

A 50-year-old man from Whitesand First Nation has been charged in connection with a homicide that took place Friday in Mud River, Ont., OPP said.
Armstrong OPP received a report of an assault at a residence in Mud River which police said is located about 35 kilometres east of Armstrong, and accessible only by CN train or snow machine on Thursday.
Provincial Police have charged a man with homicide in the death of a 27-year-old Whitesand First Nation man. They were called to the community of Mud .

Mr. James Raymond Kwandebance, age 23 years, passed away unexpectedly as the result of a snow machine accident in Armstrong, Ontario on Thursday, December 10, 2020.
James was born in Thunder Bay on January 17, 1997, the son of Jim and Helen Kwandebance. Growing up in Armstrong, James found his greatest peace and comfort in nature. Whether it was hunting, trapping, and fishing or simply enjoying the outdoors playing hockey, riding his quad or snow machine or spending time on the lake boating or canoeing he enjoyed everything that nature has to offer. A prankster, James loved to joke around with family and friends and lived life to the fullest right until the very end. His greatest love was for his children and there is nothing that he wouldn’t do for them.
