Wayne County EMS and Fairfield rural firemen responded to a two-vehicle accident near Barnhill yesterday morning. According to county deputies, 55-year-old Normal resident William J. Caldwell was struck by 44-year-old Springerton resident Kriste R. Ingram after she drifted into his lane. Both parties refused transport to a hospital, and a tow truck was called to the scene.
