The City of Fairfield will conduct a city-wide clean-up tomorrow from 8 to 11 a.m. at the Street & Bridge Department at 908 East King Street. Dumpsters will be on hand for general waste, metal and appliances, and tires. Electronics, construction and remodeling debris, yard waste, liquid paint, batteries, concrete, bricks, asbestos items, and items considered hazardous waste will not be accepted. 39-year-old Mt. Vernon resident Christopher L. Toney and 20-year-old Johnsonville resident Chip W. Lane were sentenced in Wayne County Circuit Court yesterday. Toney pleaded guilty to a count of domestic battery, was sentenced to time served in jail, and was ordered to pay $80 in fines and court costs. Lane pleaded guilty to unlawful possession of alcohol and was ordered to pay $839 in fines and court costs.
