WEST PALM BEACH The transformation of West Palm Beach s once sleepy North End is taking another step forward this week and upward as construction starts on two waterfront apartment towers.
Groundbreaking is scheduled for Wednesday morning for the first two Arquitectonica-designed buildings of the Icon Marina Village, 24-story towers to rise beside the Rybovich megayacht marina at 4444 N. Flagler Drive. Construction is expected to be completed in late 2024, with the first units to open for rental that October. The seawall already is under construction.
The two towers, by developer Related Group of Miami, are the first of six approved for the site. The other four, planned by Rybovich, have been approved for 650 more apartments. The construction schedule for those has not been disclosed.
