Bernalillo County and Silver Horizons will again offer free groceries to low-income seniors (50+) at two drive-thru grocery pickup events.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. B2B ABQ restaurants are donating thousands of dollars worth of gift cards to essential workers, according to B2B spokeswoman Alicia Stelzer.
Gift cards in $10 increments to B2B Bistronomy, B2B Garden Brewery and La Bruja will be donated to frontline employees working in grocery stores, dental offices, hardware stores and other organizations as a show of appreciation, Stelzer said.
Employers of the workers receiving the gift cards can choose to supplement the gift card amount as well, she said.

The drive-through pickup event will be held on Friday, Jan. 29 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the parking lot at the Rio Bravo Senior Center in the South Valley. “These are difficult times for many in our community,” Bernalillo County Manager Julie Morgas Baca said. “If you’re a senior citizen in Bernalillo County experiencing food insecurity, please come and pick up some groceries on Friday.”
