New Delhi: In yet another instance of genuine news being termed as âfakeâ by the Central governmentâs fact-check wing, the PIB Fact Check claimed that a genuine recruitment notice issued by the Intelligence Bureau was incorrect â only to delete the tweet after the IB confirmed in writing that it was not false news.
The Publication Division of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (I&B), in a tweet on December 17, pointed out the incorrect âfact-checkâ done a day earlier by the Ministryâs unit under the Press Information Bureau (PIB) that verifies government-related news.

Just soon after his inauguration in February as Chairman/CEO, Alhaji Zikrullah Kunle Hassan declared his intention to reduce the 2020 Hajj Fare.
According to him, he was invigorated in that decision by the climb in exchange rate and the increment of the Value Added Tax (VAT) by the Saudi authority from 5 percent to 15 percent which would have led to an astronomical increase in the Hajj Fare if the 2020 Hajj had held.
