As the pandemic winds down (and donât we all wish it would just be over already?), thoughts here at theÂ
Indy are turning to a season much different than the socially distanced, way-too-quiet, anxiety-filled summer of 2020.
And we decided what we need â what the entire city needs â is music. And lots of it.Â
So, weâre introducing Music at the
Indy. (Yes, actually AT the Indy: 235 S. Nevada Ave.) Weâre bringing local bands to our awesome offices â the big church across the street from the Pioneers Museum. People can shop at the Wednesday-afternoon farmers market at the museum and then head over the third Wednesday of every month for some music, food â and maybe, a libation or two.
Food boxes provide 60,000 meals for COVID-19 relief in Trinidad
TRINIDAD, Colo. (KRDO) - Trinidad families in need will continue to receive nutritious meals through new generous donations. We knew that a lot of families were struggling with how to put food on the table, Ashley DiPaola with Mt. Carmel Wellness and Community Center told KRDO.
The Wellness and Community Center announced the continuation of its food box program Monday, now in its second year, with the latest sponsor to come on board being Franklin D. Azar and Associates.
The much-needed support comes to the aid of struggling families and residents affected by COVID-19.
A veteran El Paso County prosecutor whose family appears linked to more than $13,000 in spending to lift Michael Allen’s winning bid to be the Pikes Peak region’s next district attorney has been selected for a top job in Allen s administration.
Reggy Short will serve as a chief deputy district attorney, the office’s third-highest rank, when Allen’s term in office begins Jan. 12, Allen confirmed.
Short’s promotion is expected to boost his $111,400 salary to roughly $140,000, Allen told The Gazette. Short, now a senior deputy district attorney under term-limited DA Dan May, edged out several fellow senior deputies who also interviewed for the job, Allen said.
