The 16th edition of Indo-US joint military exercise Yudh Abhyas commenced in Rajasthan s Bikaner on February 8 and will continue till February 21.
US Army Commander Colonel J Bodwell and Indian Army Brigadier Mukesh Bhanwala took the salute of the parade and duly launched the combined exercise by blowing up the baloon.
The exercise near the India-Pakistan border aims at enhancing cooperation and interoperability between the two armies and focuses on counter-terrorism operations under the United Nations mandate.

New Delhi [India], February 6 (ANI): The USArmy contingent on Saturday arrived at the Indian Air Force office in Suratgarh, Rajasthan, to participate in the 16th edition of the joint military exercise Yudh Abhyas 20 , which will begin from February 8 to 21. USArmy contingent arrives at IAF (Media Co-ordination Centre), Suratgarh for the 16th edition of annual bilateral joint exercise with Indian Army from February 8-21. Post COVID-19 protocols, will move to Foreign Training Node, Mahajan Field Firing Range (MFFR), said the South Western Command, Indian Army, in a tweet.
