Family run, Cavan-based auction house, Victor Mee Auctions has announced the June Decorative Interiors Sale due to take place online on Tuesday and Wednesday, June 29 & 30.

This sale will offer bidders the chance to take home items from some of the auction house’s most respected clients, as well as the complete contents of St Alban s House, Abbeycarton, Longford and Laragh House, Dundalk.
The June Decorative Interiors Sale is due to attract bidders from around the world due to its diverse range of over 1,200 interiors pieces that include art, decorative interiors, garden, antique furniture and militaria.

Victor Mee’s Iconic Dublin Nightlife sale on Saturday, May 15th and Sunday, May 16th features contents from some of the city’s best-known nightspots including The George, Zanzibar, The Dandelion Hotel and nightclub, and Fireworks Bar and nightclub at the Trinity Hotel.
It also lists some contents from Howl at the Moon and Café en Seine. The contents of these two venues sold through Niall Mullen in 2018 with 100 per cent sales rates.

The learned word for the study of flags is vexillology . Had we been told that it shares its roots with vexation , it wouldn t have surprised us at all, living as we do just down the road from a region where the interpretation of flegs n omblums is a deadly serious business.
But in fact, it goes back to the vexillum , the special distinctive banner-flag carried by the Roman legions, which thereby became a clear symbol to all those peace-loving primitive tribes, getting on with their idyllic back-to-nature lives out in the boondocks, that trouble was on the way.
