MURDO – Brady Fritz drilled a go-ahead three-pointer with 1:50 left Tuesday to give the Winner Warriors a 53-50 SoDak 16 Class A win over Mobridge-Pollock at Harold Thune Auditorium.
Fritz led Winner (20-2) with 23 points. Blake Volmer scored 13 with 11 rebounds.
The Warriors will battle Dakota Valley in the first round of the Class A boys state tournament at 5:00 PM on Thursday, March 18 at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center in Sioux Falls.

WAGNER – Winner Warriors girls basketball earned its third consecutive trip to the Class A state tournament Thursday with a 50-35 win over Tri-Valley in a SoDak 16 game at Wagner High School.
Bella Swedlund led Winner (20-2) with 24 points and Kalla Bertram added 15.
Winner, the 2019 A state champion, has won seven games in a row and will play Dakota Valley on Thursday, March 11 at the Watertown Civic Arena at 5:00 PM.
