MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - After a summer of protests and calls for transparency and change the city of Memphis announced the launch of an Inspectional Services Bureau dashboard.
It will contain detailed information on alleged officer violations, including excessive force complaints and responses to resistance incidents.
The city says a system like this was created after requests from the public.
The Memphis Interfaith Coalition for Action and Hope or MICAH says they’ve been asking for something like this for three years.
NFL Disburses over $4 Million is Social Justice Grants

The NFL is making good on its promise to fund the social justice movement through the funding of 13 grants to nonprofit organizations connected to the Inspire Change program.
The grants, totaling $4.3 million, are directed towards efforts to close the “digital divide.”
“Education is a basic human right, and we can no longer deprive students of the tools they need to succeed, including devices and the internet,” said Kelvin Beachum, a Cardinals lineman, and Players Coalition task force member. “I am proud of the work Players Coalition and the NFL has done to help close this ‘digital divide’ and help those children in underserved communities.”

The NFL expanded its social Justice initiative Inspire Change on Friday by awarding 13 new grants to nonprofit organizations across the country.
The league and teams, who now have committed more than $95 million in the initiative, also will provide funding to support closing the digital divide.
“We’re focused on the gap in access to technology and technological hardware and software, and we’re seeing it really exacerbated during the pandemic,” says Anna Isaacson, the NFL’s senior vice president of social responsibility. “It’s a much bigger issue with kids learning at home and schools having difficulty opening. These are digital divide issues, very local issues.
