NASA celebrated a truly historic moment with the landing of its most sophisticated rover, Perseverance, on Mars, the Red Planet. The rover will scout for any signs of microbial life on the planet and collect Martian rock and samples to bring back to Earth for further research. And to celebrate the landing, NASA recruited YUNGBLUD in full David Bowie form.

After a 292.5-million mile journey across space, NASA s Perseverance Mars Rover landed on Thursday (Feb. 18) with a rocking soundtrack courtesy of Yungblud.
The singer who had a song called Mars on his 2020 album
Weird! was heard crooning David Bowie s 1971 homage to the red planet, Life on Mars, on NASA s live streams shortly after Perseverance touched down.
