After months of preparation, the Village of Versailles Muncipal Pool is ready to open for the summer season Saturday, May 29.

VERSAILLES Progress on Virginia Street, well engineering, the municipal pool, and the hiring of new personnel were among the top agenda items discussed at the Village of Versailles Council meeting Wednesday night.
Attending were Mayor Jeff Subler, Village Administrator Mike Busse, Council members Jeff Beasley, Kent Paulus, Lance Steinbrunner, Mike Berger, Cory Griesdorn and Todd Dammeyer. Also in attendance were Fiscal Officer, Kathy Ording, and Village attorney, Tom Guillozet.

Crews will continue to search Lake Cumberland through the evening for a missing man who reportedly fell off of a bluff while mowing his lawn, according to Captain Troy McLin of the Pulaski County Sheriffâs Office
McLin said Thursday afternoon that the plan was to continue searching until dark, then start again in the morning if nothing was found tonight.
Divers, continue to search for Dr. Robert S. Supinski, 66, within an area of Lake Cumberland.
Supinski apparently fell Wednesday afternoon over a 100-foot bluff while using a zero-turn mower on his property.
