TWO people were arrested as police swooped on an address in Portland yesterday. Specialist County Line officers dedicated to tackling drug dealing joined local officers in the raid. A spokesman for Weymouth and Portland Police said: Officers from Weymouth & Portland Neighbourhood Policing Team and County Line Team arrested two local persons at an address on Portland-a female for theft, drug possession and failing to appear at court for a previous incident and a male for theft and assaulting an emergency worker. Both the male and female were subsequently charged with offences and will both appear before Weymouth Magistrates Court in due course.

He entered the opposite side of the road - but when he saw a Peugeot travelling towards him, he unsuccessfully pulled back into the left lane and hit the oncoming Peugeot and a Honda.
