As previously reported, Ashley Hymas, of Dawlish Crescent, Weymouth, entered the now-closed supermarket at Jubilee Retail Park with another man on Thursday, March 12. Carrying multiple bags, the 31-year-old identified items to steal and put in the bags, Weymouth Magistrates’ Court heard in late November. The two men, described as acting suspiciously , were observed on the store’s CCTV and then challenged at the checkouts by a staff member and later the store manager, Stuart Dalley.
Drug testing kit A MAN who gathered with friends and took drugs was caught over the drug drive limit a day later, a court heard. Justin Lench, 48, was driving a car on the C13 in Blandford on the afternoon of Monday, June 15 when he was stopped by police. Lench, of Stoneylawn, Marnhull, appeared to be under the influence of a substance and subsequently underwent a roadside drug test. He failed the test and tested positive for traces of cannabis. He was charged with driving a vehicle under the influence of a controlled drug. Prosecuting, Andrew Newman, told Weymouth Magistrates Court: “(Lench) was driving a Range Rover not registered to him on the road.
