One segment of the Legacy Trail extension is on track to open this summer. The extension, which will create more than 20 miles of continuous paved trail from Payne Park to Venice when complete, was split into three segments to facilitate faster construction.  The first segment runs from Proctor Road to Bahia Vista Street, the second runs from the current norther terminus at Culverhouse Nature Center to Proctor Road and the third begins at Bahia Vista Street and extends to Payne Park.

(KPRC) GREEN OAK CHARTER TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Green Oak Charter Township is experiencing a water main break in the Country Club Subdivision, announced township supervisor Mark St. Charles on Monday. He added that water has been turned off to about 36 homes and as of Monday afternoon the contractor was on site making repairs. The issue was caused by a loss of pressure in the Livingston Community Water Authority System. As a result a precautionary boil water advisory notice was issued.

Another nine fines handed out in Waterloo Region for those not following COVID-19 rules

  KITCHENER There have been nine new fines issued to those not abiding by COVID-19 pandemic measures in Waterloo Region. In a Friday meeting, regional chair Karen Redman said four of these fines were handed out between February 25 and March 3, while the other five were handed out the week before. Public Health issued one $880 ticket to Barber Pole & Co. in Cambridge for failing to comply with a face covering order. In Waterloo, five tickets costing $880 each were given at two separate private residences failing to comply with a continued order. The region issued two tickets at a Waterloo Region public housing unit on Weber Street East. The $240 were both for failing to comply with a face covering order.
