Created by Asanni Armon, a black genderqueer artist from Atlanta, Georgia and currently based in New York, For the Gworls provides funds to Black transgender people internationally to help with rent, costs related to healthcare, and the cost of gender-affirming surgery.
This project began in 2019 when Armon decided to host a roof party to fundraise for two friends who were facing eviction. Since then, this party-based fundraising mutual aid effort in New York has grown into an international effort to support Black transgender and gender-nonconforming (GNC) people.

MINNEAPOLIS Minneapolis police said seven people were shot, one fatally, over three days in the city.
Six people were injured by gunfire across the city on Saturday and early Sunday, including a young girl. On Monday morning, the number increased to seven.
Minneapolis Police Spokesman John Elder said that early Monday morning, a man was fatally shot and a woman struck by a car in the Ventura Village neighborhood.

A man was killed and a woman is in critical condition a crash and a shooting in the Ventura Village neighborhood of Minneapolis early Monday morning.
MINNEAPOLIS (FOX 9) - A man was killed and a woman is in critical condition after an incident in the Ventura Village neighborhood of Minneapolis early Monday morning.
The Minneapolis Police Department said officers responded to the area of Elliot Avenue and East Franklin Avenue around 1:20 a.m. on a report of shots fired and other reports of people hearing a woman screaming.
