Ventura CHP VENTURA COUNTY, Calif. - The Ventura County Auto Theft Task Force conducted a countywide sweep to arrest regular auto theft and property crimes offenders, resulting in 19 arrests. “Operation Clean Sweep” took place on Thursday and involved officers and detectives from the California Highway Patrol, the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office Bureau of Investigations, the DMV Division of Investigations, the Simi Valley Police Department, the Ventura Police Department, the Oxnard Police Department, the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office and the Santa Paula Police Department.
