WENTZVILLE, Missouri (KMOV) A 21-year-old man and 20-year-old woman were arrested after an officer-involved shooting in Wentzville late Saturday night.
Around 11:45 p.m., troopers with the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) spotted a 20-year-old woman driving a small SUV driving at over 100 mph on southbound Highway 61 near Wentzville Parkway. While pursuing the car, MSHP requested help from Wentzville Police.
“A Wentzville police officer responded to the area and observed the vehicle pursuit and a separate vehicle that appeared to be following the Highway Patrolman,” a spokesperson from the Wentzville Police Department said. The car trailing the chase then hit the trooper’s squad car near Timber Trace Drive, allowing the woman to escape. The officer got out of his car to conduct a traffic stop but the driver put the car in reverse in an attempt to hit him, police said. He was abled to move out of the way as the driver backed into his squad car.

WENTZVILLE, Mo. An attempted carjacking in Wentzville early Saturday has focused the police and community members on crime prevention in their city.
St. Charles County resident Rochelle Harris believes she encountered the four would-be carjackers before they got arrested after a failed attempt.
“There were four, which is exactly what I encountered, Harris said. They were drinking alcohol, that seems to have matched up. The time frame makes sense.”
Harris believes she encountered the would-be carjackers in the parking lot of a nearby convenience store prior to the attempted carjacking.

11-year-old among 4 arrested for attempted robbery
WENTZVILLE, Missouri (KMOV) An 11-year-old was one of four people arrested for an attempted robbery early Saturday morning in Wentzville.
Officials with the Wentzville Police Department said a woman was inside her car in the parking lot of Wentzville Commons around 7:30 a.m. when she noticed four teenagers looking at her. She told police she was approached by a 15-year-old who asked for directions and then demanded her car at gunpoint.
The woman then pulled out her own gun and refused to get out of the car. The teen then went back to his group and they all ran away from the area. This is in the 1900 block of Wentzville Parkway off of Interstate 70.
