Although all eyes are now turned towards Seychelles’ fifth anniversary of the Carnival International de Victoria, interests are steaming up from islands of the Indian Ocean to participate in the 30th anniversary of Festival Kreol planned for October 24-31.
The Festival Kreol is the only gathering of the Creole people of the world, and the festival coincides annually with International Creole Day as decreed by the United Nations.
The mayor of Reunion town of La Possession, Vanessa Miranville, has confirmed its participation in the festival of around 70 pupils aged 10-12 from the school of Raymond Verges. The pupils who are expected in Seychelles 22-October 27 will stage a musical concert.
