Captain Wendy Brown said: “The Salvation Army has been in Gainsborough for 135-years this year, which we will be celebrating in October, and we have been out working in the community for that long. How we reach out has changed differently over the years, now we have our food bank, which has been a massive thing during the pandemic, and has been the only thing running throughout the entire pandemic.

Barnstable County Fair shows go on July 19-25
The Barnstable Patriot
FALMOUTH – With the recent announcement of the lifting of all Massachusetts COVID-19 restrictions on May 29, the Barnstable County Fair this week announced plans to return to the Cape Cod Fairgrounds Monday, July 19 – Sunday, July 25.
“Not having the fair in 2020 was something that was, unfortunately, unavoidable,” says Wendy Brown, Cape Cod Fairgrounds general man. “The fair is something that is the result of many hours of work all year round by a committed team of volunteers and our staff. We are more excited than we can put into words to host a safe, fun, family-friendly fair in 2021!”

Southwest VA clinics install pharmacy Omnicells
Fully automated medication management platform
Rural West Texas Veterans no longer have to travel to Big Spring, Texas, or to a local urgent care center to receive treatment for some common, non-emergency conditions. That’s thanks to the deployment of automated pharmacy dispensing machine called Omnicells.
They are now available in each of the West Texas VA Health Care System Community Based Outpatient Clinics.
Many non-emergency care medications were not previously available at the clinics due to storage, safety and security requirements for medications. Those medications include injectables for breathing treatments, antibiotics or anti-nausea.
