Huntington, N.Y., seeks record keeper for 457 plan

Huntington, N.Y., is searching for a record keeper for its $57 million 457 plan, said Lori E. Finger, the town’s director of purchasing.
The town issued an RFP due to state laws that require the services be put up for bid periodically, she said. Current record keeper MassMutual Financial is invited to rebid, she said.
The RFP is available on the town s website. Registration is required. Proposals are due at noon EDT on June 4. The timeline for a decision was not provided, but the new record keeper is scheduled to be implemented Aug. 18.

Prudential Financial Inc. has appointed Caroline Feeney as CEO of its U.S. Insurance & Retirement Businesses. Feeney will immediately assume the newly created role and will be responsible for driving growth across the consolidated portfolio of U.S. businesses, while ensuring alignment with PGIM, the company’s asset management business.
Feeney’s expanded role will include oversight of group insurance, individual life insurance, Prudential annuities, Prudential retirement, and the retail advice and solutions organization. She will also oversee several enabling functions, including the group charged with enhancing and unifying the service experience for Prudential’s retail and institutional customers in the U.S.

Richmond, Calif., is searching for a defined contribution plan consultant to assist in the search for a single record keeper for the city s 457 plan.
The city is seeking a firm to provide assistance in a request-for-proposal process for the plan s record keepers, according to an RFP posted on the city s procurement website.
The selected consultant will draft an RFP for a single vendor to provide comprehensive retirement plan services, including record keeping/administration, participant education and communication, participant and plan sponsor web access to plan information, custodial trustee services, and services to support the investments offered by the plans and complete transitional services and experience, according to the consultant RFP.
