Fall River Police Arrest Alleged Repeat Gun Offender
FALL RIVER Fall River Police have arrested a man they say is a repeat gun offender after they executed a search warrant at his residence.
On Thursday, March 11, members of the Fall River Police Gang Unit, Vice Unit, and the Metro Boston Gang Task Force executed the warrant at 555 Whipple Street, first floor. The target of the investigation was Michael Giasson, 20.
A search of the residence turned up the following: a loaded black and tan firearm; a large, clear plastic bag containing 16.85 ounces of marijuana; a small plastic bag containing 0.6 ounces of marijuana; five commercial bags containing 3.5 grams each of marijuana; a red digital scale; and 25 empty commercial bags.

Fall River Police Searching for Purse Snatching Suspect
FALL RIVER Fall River Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect in a purse snatching that occurred in the city.
According to police, on March 1 at approximately 4:53 p.m., an individual stole a purse from a 70-year-old woman as she was exiting the Seabra Supermarket located at 440 Stafford Road.

The suspect was last seen running west on Duncan Street from Stafford Road.
