  OTTAWA The Renfrew County and District Health Unit has ordered Olmstead s Home Hardware in Cobden to close for indoor shopping after not following COVID-19 rules during the stay-at-home order. The health unit says it issued a Section 22 Order to Olmstead s Home Hardware for not adhering to requirements set out under the Reopening Ontario Act. After several attempts to rectify non-compliance, Olmstead s Home Hardware must immediately close the business to indoor traffic, allowing curbside pick-up, delivery or online services on, said a statement from the health unit. Acting medical officer of health Dr. Robert Cushman says the Section 22 Order was issued to ensure that community transmission of COVID-19 is minimized or eliminated.

Fostering Our Graduates has its first graduation celebration Ashland Times Gazette Fostering Our Graduates grew out of a passion between two friends who have been discussing this idea for years as they both watch the needs of the foster system grow within the Ashland community, according to a news release from Fostering Our Graduates.   Denise Rosby and Jennifer Ediger, along with Evan Glover, hope to bless the individuals who are graduating high school in the community with an annual celebration to let them know that their community is behind them. Fostering Our Graduates wants to be the bridge to adulthood and the bridges system of Job and Family Services (JFS) to help guide the students in their future decision-making, whichever path they choose college, specialized trade, etc.
