Obituary: Dr Arden Fenander

Star Journal Obituary: Dr. Arden Fenander Share: Dr. Arden Fenander, age 84 of Wisconsin Rapids passed away from pneumonia Saturday, Nov. 28, 2020, at his home with his family by his side. Arden was born June 22, 1936, in Shell Lake to Axel and Vivian Fenander. After graduating from Ladysmith High School, he attended Saint Olaf College and then UW-Eau Claire before deciding to follow in the footsteps of his father and become a Doctor of Chiropractic. He graduated from Logan Chiropractic College in 1959. He was united in marriage to Colleen Breen on Nov. 26, 1960, at Normandy Presbyterian Church in Normandy, Mo. They were blessed with 60 years of marriage and four children Ron, Laura, Diane and Michael.

1 SUVA, FIJI – The U.S. Army 322 Civil Affairs Brigade, part of the 9th Mission Support Command (MSC), is currently partnering with three Soldiers from the Army National Guard to conduct civil-military operations in the Oceania region of the Pacific. The three Guardsmen are Maj. Patrick Arizmendi and Cpt. Luis Muruato of the Nevada National Guard and Cpt. Chris Meza of the Wisconsin National Guard. These states currently have existing partnerships with Fiji, Papua New Guinea, and Tonga as part of the National Guard’s State Partnership Program (SPP). In 2019, U.S. Army Pacific directed the 9th MSC to perform the Task Force Oceania (TF-O) mission. Under command of the 9th MSC, headquartered at Fort Shafter Flats, Hawaii, 322 Civil Affairs Brigade will support U.S. Embassies in the region through security cooperation efforts to enhance partner nation capacity and build relationships.

Badger Air Community Council establishes fund to benefit family of Air Force Captain who died in F-16 crash

Durwood “Hawk” Jones, who died on Thursday after the F-16 jet that he was flying crashed Tuesday night in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Since his death, there has been an outpouring of support for the 115th Fighter Wing and Wisconsin National Guard. The Badger Air Community Council (BACC) wants to extend its deepest condolences to the family of Air Force Capt. Durwood… The BACC established a fund to benefit the family. Donations can be made online or mailed and made out to Badger Air Community Council, P.O. Box 192, Madison, WI, 53701, with “Jones Family” in the memo.
