Pune: A case was registered against a BJP leader and two others for not following Covid protocols at a marriage reception in the city.
Police said that over 1,000 guests had arrived for the marriage reception of Dhananjay Mahadik (the leader)’s son on the evening of February 21 at Laxmi Lawns in the city’s Magarpatta region. It might be taken into account that authorities in the city had put a limit of 200 people at social gatherings including marriage ceremonies and receptions in view of increasing Covid cases.

A case has been registered against Maharashtra BJP leader and former MP Dhananjay Mahadik along with two other persons for violating Covid-19 norms at a marriage reception in Pune.
More than 1,000 guests had arrived for the marriage reception of Mahadik’s son on Sunday evening at Laxmi Lawns in Pune’s Magarpatta area, according to police. It may be noted that authorities in Pune had earlier put a limit of 200 people at social gatherings including marriage ceremonies and receptions in view of rising Covid-19 cases.
