KALYAN: A gym trainer and his brother have been arrested for stealing 11 motorcycles worth Rs 5 lakh in Dombivli.
The accused, Yogesh Bhanushali, wanted to become rich for which he took help of his brother Mukesh Bhanushali and a friend Samir Sayyed, and in the last one year they together stole 11 motorcycles from Kalyan, Dombivli, Ulhasnagar and Nashik.
On January 27, they stole a Royal Enfield Bullet motorcycle from a MIDC area.
Following the incident, the local Manpada police registered an FIR and through CCTV footage reached up to Yogesh and his brother Mukesh.
Vivek Pansare, deputy commissioner of police, zone 3 of Thane police said, The accused had kept all stolen motorcycles at a ground with intention to sell and make money from it.”

A vegetable vendor from Nashik in Maharashtra has been arrested for allegedly carrying out house break-ins and thefts at Kalyan in Thane district, a police official said.
The accused, Baban Dashrath Jadhav (39), used to bring vegetables from Igatpuri in Nashik to Kalyan-Dombivli region for sale, DCP (Kalyan Zone), Vivek Pansare told reporters on Saturday. While selling the vegetables, Jadhav used to carry out a recce of the area and find targets for house break-ins, he said.
Manpada police had received several complaints of house break-in and theft, the official said. Police went through the CCTV footage and zeroed in on the accused. He was arrested and valuables collectively worth Rs 6.75 lakh, including 150 grams of gold, were recovered from him, Pansare said.
