The last time the Utah Jazz and the Minnesota Timberwolves met was the Utah Jazz home opener on December 26th, 2020. That feels like ages ago for both teams as the promising Timberwolves beat the Utah Jazz to spoil the Jazz home opener. The Wolves came into the season looking like they might be able to break through as a western conference playoff team and make some kind of playoff run. But alas, the Wolves have had another painful building season with the hopes that next year they can put it all together. The Jazz on the other hand look a lot different than they did on that last meeting. The team has gelled into a contender and surely have a lot more confidence going into this meeting, let’s hope that confidence is not complacency and they can get the job done tonight.

High notes
Georges Niang got his second career start on Tuesday in place of O’Neale and immediately started firing. He had 12 of his 18 points by the end of the first quarter, finished with a career-high 10 rebounds, and although he’s not O’Neale on the defensive end, he did a good job in what he was asked to do.
