ORMOND BEACH At age 102, Ed Vrona doesn’t hesitate when you ask about the secret of his longevity.
“You’re looking at the luckiest guy you’ve ever seen,” Vrona said. “I was born with a positive attitude. I was born on the Fourth of July; what else can you have? There is no other attitude, is there?”
Vrona’s big day the 102nd anniversary of his birth on July 4, 1919 will be celebrated on Sunday by his many friends and neighbors at the Aberdeen At Ormond mobile home community.
There, he will be guest of honor for an afternoon golf cart parade through neighborhood streets to be followed by a party at the community’s clubhouse.
