Swindon Crown Court heard Southwick man Kaseem Smiri had turned his back on the illegal trade, having received jail time in 2014 and 2016. The 28-year-old had turned his life around, working as a successful salesman for mobile phone company EE. His barrister, John Dyer, told Judge Peter Crabtree that Smiri had returned to dealing drugs and, after he was arrested in possession of a stash last winter, was pressured into selling more by the gangsters whose drugs he’d lost. That resulted in a second arrest in March, after which he was remanded by the justices.
