Police detectives are trying to identify a man suspected in a string of thefts in the neighborhood of the El Paso Country Club.
The unidentified man is suspected of trying to break into a safe at the country club and stealing delivery packages from two homes in the area, Crime Stoppers of El Paso said.
About 5 p.m. on May 8, the man allegedly entered the offices of the El Paso Country Club through an unlocked door, Crime Stoppers stated. He then unsuccessfully attempted to break into the safe but left considerable damage to the office.
El Paso police suspect that the same man is responsible for a pair of porch pirate delivery package thefts in the 4900 block of Olmos Street and the 600 block of Willow Glen Drive in The Willows neighborhood nearby.

KALISPELL â Kenneth Martin Chandler of Kalispell is in jail after a chase involving law enforcement officers in the Evergreen area.
Flathead County Sheriff Brian Heino says that at approximately 6:50 p.m. on Wednesday deputies located a vehicle in Evergreen that had been reported to be driven by 41-year-old Chandler, who was man wanted by law enforcement.
Sheriff Heino said, âChandlerâs apprehension had been one of the Sheriffâs Officeâs objectives for quite some time.â

Deputies tried to stop the vehicle on Willow Glen Drive near Concord Lane but the driver refused to pull over. A high-speed chase began and continued south on Willow Glen to Kelley Road where the suspect vehicle struck another southbound vehicle, causing extensive damage to both cars, according to Sheriff Heino.
